Get Set for Success, led by Academic Peer Mentors, gave new students hands-on support with wayfinding, sending Letters of Accommodation and signing up for Alternate Exams. The program helped students feel prepared, supported and confident as they navigated their first steps on our campuses.

Fall Well-being Week

From October 6 to 10, partners across York coordinated interactive and engaging sessions surrounding the theme of Embracing All Dimensions of Well-being. This theme highlights York's holistic approach to well-being, focusing on its various aspects and forms.

Division of Students Check-in with the Vice Provost Students

During the September start-up, the Division of Students gathered with the Vice Provost Students to discuss numerous start-up successes, university updates and address any questions colleagues had.

This curated event offered mature and transfer students a welcoming opportunity to build connections with peers over lunch, and participants engaged in interactive activities. Attendees were invited to unwind and socialize in a relaxed, inclusive space designed to foster community and support.

Teamwork in Action: OUR Supports Students at the Start of the Year

In the first two weeks of September 2025, Student Support & Advising assisted 10,590 students through in-person advising, the front desk, phone and email. With support from SFS and SR&A, it was an all-hands-on-deck effort showcasing teamwork and commitment to student success!

September is always a very busy time at the Vari Hall Kiosk as we welcome students back to campus for the fall term. This year, our amazing team recorded 7,092 interactions in the month of September, with 5,472 interactions taking place within the first two weeks!
